Jets decide to turn down HBO’s “Hard Knocks”

May 11th, 2012

BroadwayJoe.tv would like you to know that the New York Jets have decided to turn down the opportunity to appear on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ this summer, according to ESPN.com. After showing some initial interest, Jets owner Woody Johnson has decided to heed the advice of Coach Rex Ryan and the football staff and decline the offer. HBO featured the Jets just two years ago, when the network saw ratings skyrocket thanks in large part to the coach’s gregarious personality. An appearance this year could have brought even greater ratings following the attention the team drew at the culmination of last season, as well as the addition of well renowned Quarterback Tim Tebow. Despite that viewership potential, though, the team has instead chosen to make football their one and only focus.

Turning down ‘Hard Knocks’ will not change the media craze that will surely follow the team’s every move this summer. The end to last season and offseason additions should provide fodder for months. BroadwayJoe.tv hopes the Jets are ready! Colchicine
