Joe says Mark Sanchez is the Guy

BroadwayJoe.tv would like you to know that the legendary Jets quarterback believes Mark Sanchez is the best man for the starting quarterback job this season, according to the New York Post. Joe Namath says there’s “no doubt about it at all” that Sanchez is the better quarterback than newly acquired Tim Tebow. Namath still is a fan of Tebow, saying, “Tebow is a positive. In any way you add him to the organization, he’s a positive.” However, he believes Sanchez has nothing to worry about when it comes to winning the starting job, despite Tebow’s success last season. Tebow led his former team, the Denver Broncos, to the playoffs last season, while Sanchez and the Jets fell apart late and missed out after reaching the AFC Championship the previous two seasons. Still, Namath has high hopes for the 4th year quarterback out of Southern Cal, noting his own success at that point in his career. “[Sanchez is] going into his fourth year. Golly, I remember a team that won a championship with a quarterback in his fourth year,” he said, referring to his legendary victory over the Colts in Super Bowl III. “Let’s hope that happens again.”
