QB McElroy Remains Contrite Over Statements
BroadwayJoe.tv would like you to check out this New York Post article on former Jets quarterback Greg McElroy. The former Alabama signal caller created a mini controversy with his comments in January regarding the Jets 2011 season. McElroy was critical of the organization, saying the locker room had a “corrupt mindset” and was full of “extremely selfish individuals.” Following the interview, there was much debate over whether the injured rookie was out of line with his comments. McElroy has spent the past few months trying to clarify his intended meaning. “I thought we would have a great year the following year because of everything we’d learned from,” said McElroy. “I have full faith in [coach] Rex Ryan and full faith in [general manager ] Mike Tannenbaum. I love being part of this team and I love being part of the Jets organization. It’s a first-class organization from top to bottom, and I’m so, so fortunate to be a part of it.” McElroy will face competition for the third quarterback spot on the depth chart in newly acquired Matt Simms and G.J. Kinne.
